Reiki Drumming affects the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies simultaneously, helping to bring them into harmony while raising the vibratory rate to levels which may allow the body to accelerate its innate healing abilities. Drumming reminds our body of its ideal vibratory rate, which is in harmony with the pulse of the earth and the Universal flow of creation.. Reiki Drumming introduces methods to enhance the power to send Reiki at a distance, as well as to strengthen the vibration of the peace ray on the planet, while assisting in harmonizing our human consciousness with the Earth. We connect directly with the Heart and the Mind of the Divine when we access Reiki energy. Drumming is also a way to align with the Divine, as has been experienced since ancient times, through native spiritual, and shamanic healing practices.

Sound Changes Matter
Scientific studies related to the effect that sound has on matter are relatively new, yet we are already learning that sound alters matter. Swiss scientist, Dr. Hans Jenny demonstrated how various substances such as sand; plastics and liquid would take on a particular shape and form when various sound waves were passed through them. These experiments indicate that sound has the ability to affect and change the molecular structure of matter.
Medical Study: Group Drumming Boosts Immune System
A medical research study indicates that group drumming boosts the immune system. Published in the January, 2001, issue of Larry Dossey's Alternative Therapies, the ground-breaking study was performed at Meadville Medical Center's Mind-Body Wellness Center, by a team of MDs using control groups and blood tests. Led by well-known researcher, author and cancer expert Barry Bittman, MD, CEO of Meadville Medical Center's Mind-Body Wellness Center in Meadville, PA, the study shows that group drumming actually increases cancer-killing (NK) cells which help the body combat not only cancer but other viruses, including AIDS. According to Dr. Bittman, "Group drumming tunes our biology, orchestrates our immunity, and enables healing to begin... When our hands connect with a drum that vibrates with our energy, vitality...and unity, we become whole again." Dr. Bittman's weekly radio program, Mind-Body Matters, is syndicated nationwide on NPR. Widely published research also indicates that playing musical instruments increases children's learning abilities. This appears especially true of those instruments, which can be played intuitively, like the drum. Studies indicate that drumming enhances right-brain functions such as intuition and creativity.
Infinite Light Healing Studies Center Reiki Drumming Training & Certification Program
Courses in Reiki Drumming are offered by Michael Arthur Baird, originator of the Reiki Drumming Technique, and Laurelle Shanti Gaia, Director of Training for ILHSC Brief introductions are offered with many of our Reiki classes, and at special events and retreats. We also offer a two-day intensive training program. Pre-requesites for our two-day workshops is attunement to Reiki II or higher and familiarity with the traditional Usui Level II symbols for increasing the power of Reiki, mental/emotional issues, and sending Reiki at a distance.
Absoultely NO musical experience is necessary!!!! In fact people who have previously felt blocked in learning a musical instrument can use the Reiki Drumming techniques to help relieve fear of creating sound.

Certified Reiki Drumming Practitioner Pre-requisite - Usui Reiki Level 2 or higher
Upon completion of this two-day program, and agreement to practice in compliance with Infinite Light's Code of Ethics, students will receive a certificate of completion indicating that they have completed the course outlined in the Curriculum listed above. Students will be presented with home-study assignments to enhance their practice. Upon successful completion of the home-study assignments, students may be listed in the Infinite Light Healing Studies Center directory of certified Reiki Drumming practitioners for referral and networking purposes. Certified Reiki Drumming Instructor Pre-requisite - Infinite Light- Certified Reiki Drumming Practitioner Experience as an Usui Reiki Master/Teacher A home study program is available 6 months after completing the practitioner course. This program is designed to facilitate the professional development of Reiki Drumming Practitioners. Upon completion of this program and agreeing to practice and teach in compliance with the Infinite Light Healing Studies Center's Code of Ethics, students receive a certificate of completion and maybe listed in the Infinite Light Healing Studies Center directory of certified Reiki Drumming Instructors. Fee for Infinite Light's Certified Reiki Drumming Instructor Course - $325 includes all self-study material, certificate, instructor's manual, instructional CD, 2 email or 15 minute telephone consultations per month for 6 months and one year listing in the Infinite Light Certified Reiki Drumming Instructor referral listing.
